Talon Forge presents

Forge Daily

Six rounds of anagram-forging. One puzzle a day, identical for every player. No account, no download, no app store. It runs in the tab you already have open.

How it works

Letters arrive hot and scattered. Arrange them into words. Six rounds, each one letter longer than the last — five letters up to ten. You get three heats; a wrong guess burns one. Clear all six rounds and you get a result card you can paste anywhere, which is the only reason the streak is worth keeping.

Everyone gets the same puzzle on the same day. The puzzle is seeded from the date, so your score is comparable to anyone else’s — that is the whole game: one puzzle, one shot, and a streak that only survives if you come back tomorrow.

Why we made it

Honest answer: this game is the front door. We are a two-person company, and we do not have a marketing budget, so we built the thing we would have wanted to play instead of buying attention we could not afford. If you like it, the actual business is below.

Talon Forge — Litmus, a page-receipt API

Give it a public web page. It returns the content — not the navigation, cookie banners, sidebars and footers wrapped around it — as Markdown, plus a content_sha256 of that content. Fetch an unchanged page twice and you get the same hash. That is the difference between “a scrape” and “a receipt”: a small, citable artefact a reviewer can look at later.

curl -sS -X POST https://litmus.casperzinou2011.workers.dev/v1/receipt \
  -H 'content-type: application/json' \
  -d '{"url":"https://example.com"}'

Straight with you: it is live and free right now, but the rendering is a plain HTTP fetch, not a real browser. It cannot run a page’s JavaScript, and hosts behind bot protection (some news sites return 419 to it) refuse it outright. Pages over 384 KB are refused with a typed error rather than silently truncated. Ask GET /health for the limits the box reports about itself.

Also honest: we have no paying customers yet. This game is the front door, not proof of traction.

The whole Worker is Apache-2.0 and the source is on GitHub at TalonForgeHQ/litmus, so you can read every line and run it yourself without us. There is no signup box here because a box that goes nowhere is worse than no box — try the curl above instead.
